1. Eagle Court of Honor

Please join us on July 23, 2008 as we celebrate the achievement of Eagle Rank by two of our Scouts: John D. and Michael M. The ceremony begins at 7:00 PM. The location is Rockwood Bank, at Highway 141 and Centurian. The bank is in the same shopping center as Save-A-Lot.

2. Summer Camp

What a fantastic week we had!! The weather was perfect, the campsite was wonderful, the lake was full and YOUR SONS WERE DYNAMITE. They accepted the challenge of “Scout Run” and achieved it. By the PLC meeting on Monday night it was obvious to all that the Troop was functioning like a well oiled machine and the Scouts were having a blast. Please congratulate Tony and RJ for their calm leadership and their ability to motivate the Scouts to maintain their level of performance throughout the week. I wish we had been able to tape a couple of the PLC meetings so you could listen to their honest critiques of the Patrols and the Troop. Scouting at its Best!

Many thanks to the Assistant Scoutmasters and other adults who helped out during the week. They had a relaxing and rewarding week. In fact, they were so relaxed they managed to stay in their tents when the wind started to howl as a front moved through on Wednesday night and the poor Scoutmaster was charging around the campsite trying to close tent doors and anchor some loose items down.

It was a great week to be the Scoutmaster of Troop 778!

August 12 Gravois Trail Program Preview Meeting at Summit High School

August 17 Troop 778 Program Preview Meeting for all PLC members
